Family Fun in Pebble Creek: July 4th Celebration

Howdy neighbors! The annual 4th of July Celebration and Parade is already in the planning process, and we are in need of additional volunteers for the Planning Committee. The 4th of July Celebration is the largest community event in Pebble Creek, and it is co-sponsored by the Pebble Creek Owners Association and the Pebble Creek Country Club. Currently, we need 2-3 people to assist us on the Planning Committee. The committee forms up in late March and meets every 2 weeks or so until June, when the committee will begin to meet weekly. The tasks committee members assist with are not difficult and do not take much time but are critical for the success of the day.

What is the reward for participating? Happiness. Patriotism. Pride. Connection! You will feel it on the morning of 4th of July when you are in the club parking lot, seeing all the kids joyfully riding on their decorated bikes and scooters, families driving in decked out golf carts, fire engines and police cars, and restored military vehicles with the Cub Scouts leading everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. This year, the lunch area will be expanded to “Lunch on the Green” so that more people can enjoy the lunch, music, and prize drawings. You won't be disappointed if you volunteer. It is time well spent, and we hope to hear from you.

Join the fun and help us make this year’s event a special celebration. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Erica Earp at 979-690-0992 ext. 3# or by email at Erica.R@pebblecreektx.com, and she will connect with you the committee chairman, Jim McClung.

Sincerely,

The July 4th Planning Committee
